The Fairgrounds hosts the IV Final Orienteering Race School Games

The final is aimed at schoolchildren between 11 and 14 years of age, and will take place on Friday 21, starting at 09:00 hours, with the participation of 13 educational centers.

The City Council of Estepona informs that next Friday, November 21, will be held at the Fair, Sports and Leisure, the IV Final Race Orientation School Games 2025, between schools in the municipality. This activity will start at 9:00 am, and will take place throughout the morning.

The test consists of locating beacons with a map that will be delivered at the start, in the shortest possible time. The students will have electronic bracelets that will record their time passing through each beacon to finally record the final time of each athlete.

Previous editions have been a success among students and teachers, who enjoyed an original and novel activity.

This final is aimed at schoolchildren aged 11 to 15 years of 13 schools in the town, 11 schools and 2 institutes, participating in the program ‘Orientation in the Cole’ and, in turn, are part of the School Games Estepona.

This innovative activity is organized by the 24 Hours Sports Foundation, and is carried out in collaboration with the City Council of Estepona, the Andalusian Federation of Orienteering Sports, FADO, the Orienteering Club of Malaga, COMA, and the Provincial Council of Malaga, which make it possible for most of the schools and institutes of Estepona can perform it in their daily lives, in Physical Education class thanks to the establishment of orientation maps in each educational center of Estepona.

The participating centers are the following: IES Mar de Alborán and Monterroso, the CEIP Antonio Machado, García Lorca, Isdabe del Mar, Ntra. Sra. del Carmen, María Espinosa, Ramón García, Sierra Bermeja, Simón Fernández, Valeriano López and Víctor de la Serna, and the Colegio Juan XXIII.
