The Francisco Muñoz Pérez Municipal Stadium will host the ‘II Fernando García Memorial’.
CD Estepona Fútbol Base will pay tribute to the former director and founding member of the club next Saturday, March 30, starting at 11:00 a.m.
The Estepona City Council reports that the Estepona Sports Club has organized the II Memorial Fernando Garcia, a Cadet Football Tournament to be held next Saturday, March 30, from 11.00 am, at the Municipal Stadium Francisco Muñoz Perez, with the collaboration of the Consistory.
With this tournament, the CD Estepona Cantera intends to pay a posthumous tribute to Fernando Garcia, who was a director and founding member of the Club, “a person who fought selflessly for soccer in Estepona, who died unexpectedly in August 2022”.
If in the first edition participated teams from the Youth category, in this edition, the invited teams will be from the Cadet category (2008-2009): Málaga C.F, Algeciras C.F, Cádiz C.F. and C.D. Estepona as host team.
The matches will be played in the 11-a-side soccer modality and, according to the draw, the pairings and schedules are set as follows:
11.00 a.m.: C.D. Estepona FS – Málaga C.F.
12.15 hours: Algeciras C.F. – Cádiz C.F.
13.30 hours: 3rd and 4th places
15.00 hours: Grand Final
Admission to the event will be free.
