The III Sea-Coast Open ‘Playas de Estepona’ of sport fishing gathered 31 participants from Andalusia and Ceuta on the beach of La Rada.
The race took place yesterday, Sunday, between the river La Cala and La Escollera.
The Estepona City Council reports that the beach of La Rada was the scene yesterday, Sunday, of the III Open Sea-Coast ‘Playas de Estepona’. In total, there were 31 participants from different parts of Andalusia and Ceuta. The event, organized by the Club Amigos de la Pesca ‘Playas de Estepona’ in collaboration with the Consistory, has become an attraction for fans of the art of fishing.
At the end of the event, the catches were collected and taken to the municipal stand, where they were weighed.
The prizes were 1,000 euros and trophy for the first classified, Rafael Molina García, from Ceuta; and 500 euros and trophy for the second, Vicente Padilla García. Also, at the end of the awards and gifts, a kayak was raffled among all participants, courtesy of the establishment Náutica y Droguería Ramírez.
At the beginning of the race, participants made delivery of 2 kilos of non-perishable food that will go to Caritas.
The presentation of trophies was attended, among others, the councilman attached to Sports, Luis Miguel Gil Amores, and the president of the Club Amigos de la Pesca ‘Playas de Estepona’, Juana Ductor, who expressed her gratitude to the City Council and all participants and collaborators.
