Estepona City Council informs that next Friday, October 11, at 19.30 pm, will take place at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, the celebration of a free concert of the International Choir Love to Sing. It will be an autumn night of music, with the interpretation of a program of Hollywood and Broadway musicals, with songs from such well-known productions as ‘La La Land’, ‘The Greatest Showman’, ‘Les Miserables’ or ‘Miss Saigon’, among others, under the musical direction of Shirley Helleur.
Since the beginning of its formation in September 2017, the ‘Love to Sing’ Choir has been offering community concerts in the local area, helping to raise awareness and funds for some of the area’s renowned charities, such as ADANA, St George’s, Somos tu Ola, AGYA Asociación Gatos y Amigos, among others, as well as local Alzheimer’s charities, to name but a few. It has also participated in the International Days of Estepona and Duquesa, and in the Manilva Pride.
Currently, the Choir is directed by Shirley Helleur and has over 45 members from various countries, who rehearse weekly, although it is always open to new and experienced singers. Its repertoire includes popular songs, from classical to pop, rock and musical theater.
Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
