The Estepona City Council informs that the Municipal Theater Group ‘Farándula’ will stage next Friday, July 21, at 21:00 pm, in the Felipe VI Auditorium, the play ‘The Hands of Eurydice’, original of the Brazilian author Pedro Bloch, psychiatrist and playwright who died in 2004.
The performance of this play, whose premiere took place last April at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, is part of the events of the 40th anniversary of the theatrical association.
The hands of Eurydice’ is a tragicomedy in two acts, directed by Juan Jesús Luque, with Jorge Centeno as assistant director. It is catalogued as one of the most original and complex plays of contemporary universal theater, whose theme deals with something that is inherent to the human condition: failure.
Gumersindo Tavares, the only character, will confront himself within the labyrinth of his passions, immersed in the tidal wave of his own existence. His role will be played by Miguel López, one of Estepona’s most veteran actors, who has been with the theater group since its beginnings in 1983.
Attendance at the show is free with invitation, to be collected at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel from Friday, July 14, from 15:00 to 21:00 hours, except Saturday and holidays.
