The musical theater ‘Concierto Lorca, del Flamenco al Jazz’ comes to the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel in Estepona
Málaga Cultural Social and La Caja de Grillos Producciones Teatro Social will present the show on Friday, November 15 at 8:00 pm.
Estepona City Council informs that the Asociación Málaga Cultura Social and La Caja de Grillos Producciones Teatro Social will present next Friday November 15 the ‘Concierto Lorca, del Flamenco al Jazz’, a musical theater show, original idea of the protagonist of the play, Manuel Navarro, along with Samuel Rodriguez, saxophonist, and Adrian Cobo on guitar. It will be at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel from 20.00 hours.
Concierto Lorca, del Flamenco al Jazz’ is Emilio Aladrén’s vision of the life of Federico García Lorca in “an emotional and personal journey through all his work, ranging from the flamenco of a guitar to the jazz of a saxophone. Emilio, Federico’s great love, presents a show where the passion of flamenco meets the improvisation of jazz, offering a special tribute to the great poet from Granada”.
Synopsis: Emilio Aladrén had an open relationship with Federico García Lorca, and tells his story from the point of view of the emotions that the poet lived, reinforced by his work in strict chronology. His beginnings in Madrid, his polemic writings, his concerns, and also his loves and heartbreaks, his failures, what he longed for. And everything intermingled from Flamenco to Jazz, reflecting the evolution of the poet’s own work, from the purest costumbrista style to the influences of New York.
A story told as it has never been done before, a poetry book that explains what he lived in each moment, and a guitar and a saxophone that give life to the whole show.
Tickets are priced at 15 euros and are on sale at www.giglon.com and at the box office from one hour before the start of the show.
