The new City Hall building celebrates its second anniversary with more than 90,000 files processed and an average of 150 people attended daily

The new facilities improved citizen service by unifying all municipal offices in a single building.

The new Estepona City Hall building is two years old. These facilities were designed to improve citizen attention as it unifies all municipal offices in a single building. In this way, citizens can carry out any municipal management in an agile and simple way.

The Deputy Mayor of the Economic Area, Ana Vilaseca, explained that in these two years more than 90,000 files have been processed, a total of 76,005 in-person entries have been made and a total of 37,855 in-person appointments have been attended. The mayor stressed that these data show that an average of 150 people come every day to the municipal offices to make a record in person. Some procedures that only involve one 11 minutes of waiting time to the citizen. To this must be added the face-to-face appointments that are made of the different municipal services and amounting to about 72 people per day.

As for improving customer service, we must remember that the Consistory has made a great effort in recent years to modernize and implement the digitization of municipal procedures so that the figures of face-to-face attention must be added to the electronic procedures, which continue to rise every day. Thus, in these two years a total of 56,427 input records have been made electronically and more than 91,000 communications have been issued by the administration in the same way.

This building for administrative use consists of 13,068 square meters; of them 9,157 are built above ground, including ground floor plus seven floors (same height as the adjacent building) and 3.3,911 square meters are below ground level, including a mezzanine floor and a basement floor for a public parking lot with a capacity of 131 parking spaces.

The first floor of the new Town Hall houses the services for the public and those with the greatest public attendance: the reception, the general registry and the technical assistance offices. All this is located in an open space that allows access to the different departments and connects with the rest of the building.
