The Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos will host the Costa del Sol Manga Festival from September 6 to 8.
The event includes catwalks and cosplay and mini cosplay contests, video games, exhibitors and Japanese cuisine, among other activities.
Estepona City Council informs that next September 6, 7 and 8 will be held at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos, a new edition of the Manga Festival of the Costa del Sol.
The event, organized by the non-profit association Pax Cultural, in collaboration with the City Council, aims to promote alternative leisure and learning about the historical and cultural customs, and part of the gastronomy of the Asian world. It includes cosplay contests, where fans will be able to show their talent and creativity by recreating their favorite manga and anime characters.
There will also be mini cosplay catwalks, video game area with tournaments of different modalities, and different exhibitors, where attendees can find stands of specialty stores, local artists and manga authors, as well as exclusive products, from collectible figures to manga and merchandising. In addition, the festival will feature, among other activities, the best Japanese cuisine in the food area, by local chef Mayuri Kobayashi (Takeko).
The opening of the Festival will take place on Friday 6, at 16.00 hours, and will close at 21.00 hours, while Saturday 7 will be from 10.00 to 21.30 hours, and Sunday 8, from 10.00 to 20.30 hours.
Tickets are priced at 1 euro on Friday, and 2 euros Saturday and Sunday (Friday and Sunday, free for cosplayers).
