The Polideportivo Cubierto La Lobilla to host the traditional Winterkendo Estepona’25 seminar
From January 17 to 19, the best athletes in this discipline and national and international masters will gather together.
The Estepona City Council informs that the Polideportivo Cubierto de La Lobilla will host the traditional Winterkendo, a winter Kendo seminar that includes competition practices and grade exams up to 5th Dan, on the weekend of January 17-19. Estepona is the only place in Spain where this event is held.
In this event, organized by the Club Shion Dojo KENDO-IAIDO-MALAGA with the collaboration of the City Council of Estepona, numerous federated athletes of this discipline will participate. The Kendo has more and more followers. It is a martial art of Japanese origin that collects the techniques of fencing, and in which armor and a bamboo sword is used.
This meeting will also be attended by international and national Kendo masters who have participated in previous editions, such as Markus Frey (7th Dan Kyoshi), Mikko Salonen (7th Dan Kyoshi), Kai Markus Lyyrtö (7th Dan Renshi), Emilio Gómez (7th Dan Kyoshi), Antonio Gutiérrez (7th Dan Kyoshi) and Santiago Peydró (7th Dan Renshi).
The scheduled program is as follows:
Friday 17:
10.00 to 13.00 hours (Kata and Kihon/Waza practice).
17.00 to 19.00 hours (Kihon/Waza and Keiko).
Saturday 18th:
09.30 to 12.00 (exam preparation) and 12.30 hours, grade exams.
15:30 to 18:00 (Shiai practice) and 18:00 to 18:50 hours, Keiko.
Sunday 19:
10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., Kion/Waza and Keiko.
