The Polideportivo La Lobilla will host in January the eighth edition of the ‘WinterKendo Estepona 2026’, a Kendo Seminar that includes grade exams and competition practices.

From January 16 to 18 will meet in Estepona the best athletes of this martial art discipline, as well as national and international masters.
The Estepona City Council informs that the Polideportivo Cubierto de La Lobilla will host the traditional Winterkendo, a Winter Kendo Seminar, which includes competition practices and grade exams up to 5th Dan, on the weekend of January 16-18.
The event, organized by the Club Shion-Dojo KENDO-IAIDO-MALAGA, with the collaboration of the City of Estepona, will be attended by the following international and national Kendo masters: Markus Frey (Kendo 7th Dan Kyoshi), Mikko Salonen (7th Dan Kyoshi), Kai Markus Lyyrtö, Emilio Gómez, Antonio Gutiérrez and Santiago Peydró.
In addition to the masters, federated athletes of this discipline from all over the country will participate (Kendo is a martial art that collects the techniques of Japanese sword fencing).

Friday 16:
10.00 to 11:30 a.m., Kata.
11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., practice (Kihon/Waza).
17.00 to 19.00 hours, (Kihon/Waza and Keiko).
Saturday 17th:
09.30 a.m. to 12.00 a.m., exam preparation.
12.30 a.m., grade exams.
15:30, practice (Shiai) – 5th and 7th Dan.
16:00 to 18:00 hours, practice (Shiai).
18:00 to 18:50 hours, (Keiko).
Sunday 18:
10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., (Kion/Waza and Keiko).
