The Three Kings Cavalcade will distribute 15,000 kilos of candy and 2,000 toys in Estepona
The procession of Their Majesties of the Orient will consist of 10 floats, six parades, the Pastorales ‘Nostalgia Navideña’ and ‘Jesús Cautivo’, the Municipal Band and the Vera+Cruz Musical Union Band of Estepona.
The Estepona City Council reports that Their Majesties the Three Wise Men will distribute 15,000 kilos of candy during the Grand Parade, which will tour the main streets of the city this Friday, January 5.
The procession that will accompany Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will consist of 10 floats and six parades with fantastic characters.
The floats in which the Three Wise Men will parade will be of Egyptian inspiration, while the rest will be dedicated to fictional characters very popular among the youngest of the house.
The parade will be enlivened at all times by the pastoral ‘Christmas Nostalgia’ and ‘Jesus Captive’, the Municipal Band and the Banda Union Musical Vera + Cruz Estepona.
The parade of floats will start at 17.00 hours from the Avenida de Andalucía, east side, to continue along Avenida Juan Carlos I, Avenida de España, and Calle Terraza, until reaching the Botanical Park Orquidario, where Their Majesties will collect the letters from the children.
The parade will distribute this year 15,000 kilos of soft candy, plus 2,000 toys. On the other hand, on Friday 5, starting at 11.00 a.m., a children’s party will be held at the Permanent Fair, Sports and Leisure Park to welcome the Three Wise Men, who will arrive by helicopter, after their traditional visit to the elderly people of the Nursing Home and the Alzheimer’s Day Center.
It is also worth mentioning the security measures adopted by the Consistory for this event. During the tour there will be a device composed of local police officers, members of the National Police, Civil Protection, Emergency Services and Firefighters.
The Estepona City Council thanks the companies in the area for their collaboration in donating the candies that will be distributed during the parade, and encourages all citizens to participate and enjoy the parade.
In the town of Cancelada, the Three Wise Men will begin their journey at 18.00 hours, from the Mayor’s Office, on Montemayor Street.
