The XXX Book Fair hosts the presentation of the book ‘Paseando por Estepona’, second installment of the collection ‘Historia de Estepona para la Solidaridad’ (History of Estepona for Solidarity) by local authors.

The literary presentation will take place on August 14, at 9:00 pm. All proceeds from this publication will go to the CUDECA Foundation, which provides comprehensive professional care to people with cancer and other advanced diseases.
The City Council of Estepona informs that next Thursday, August 14, at 21:00 hours, will take place the presentation of the book ‘Paseando por Estepona’, in the framework of the XXX Summer Book Fair held at the Paseo Marítimo, organized by the company ‘Urbano Libros’, in collaboration with the Consistory.
The book ‘Paseando por Estepona’, written by Andrés Cintrano Fernández and Francisco Medina Infantes, with photographs by Juan Ordóñez Bazán, corresponds to the second installment of the collection ‘History of Estepona for Solidarity’, and proposes an interesting journey through the history of the town center of the town, its evolution from medieval times and its constitution as a municipality, to the present day, and tries to resolve the doubts raised by the names of the streets and narrate the changes of name that some streets and squares have undergone over the years. The book includes nearly 200 images, including photographs, maps and historical documents, which help to better understand the past of Estepona.
A group of friends, including Juan Ordóñez Bazán, Andrés Cintrano Fernández and Francisco Medina, undertook the task of disseminating Estepona’s history by publishing a series of books, the proceeds of which are donated to local NGOs.
In the first book, ‘A window to the past’, the authors compiled the history of prominent people of Estepona during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, offering a tour of their careers and contributions to the town, and the profits are destined for the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Estepona. With this second publication, all the benefits will go to the CUDECA Foundation, which offers comprehensive professional care to people with cancer and other advanced diseases.
The XXX Summer Book Fair began on July 18 and will remain on the Paseo Marítimo until September 14, from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 24:00 hours, with daily signings of local authors.
