The XXX Book Fair hosts the presentation of the new book by Antonio Mena, ‘La jaula de fuego’ (The Cage of Fire).

The Summer Book Fair started last 18th and will remain at the Paseo Marítimo until September 14th, from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 24:00 hours with daily signings of local authors.

The City Council of Estepona informs that the local author Antonio Mena will present his new literary work ‘La jaula de fuego’ this Friday, July 25, at 21:00 hours, as part of the XXX Summer Book Fair held at the Paseo Marítimo, organized by the company ‘Urbano Libros’, in collaboration with the Consistory.

Antonio Mena González is a journalist and writer. He was born in Estepona in October 1961. He worked in Antena 3 Radio, RNE Marbella, Diario Sur Málaga, Diario Área, Cable TV and RTV Estepona. Now he is assigned to the Town Planning Department of Estepona Town Hall.

He has published: Short Stories ‘Entre el Infierno y la Esperanza’ (2021) and ‘Las Siete Torres y otros relatos’ (2023), published by Punto Rojo Sevilla; ‘Reflexiones para gritar en silencio sin herir el alma’ (2023) and the poetry books ‘Te robé un beso bajo la lluvia’ (2023) and ‘La estación de los corazones olvidados’ (2024), published by Ediciones Sakana; and between 2024 and 2025 the saga ‘El Universo Oscilante’: ‘La búsqueda infinita’ Vol. I, ‘The Triangle of Existence’ Vol. II, ‘The Fossils of Memory’ Vol. III and ‘Order and Chaos’ Vol. IV.

With the poem ‘Descanso en Galapagar’ he won the 2nd Prize of the Poetry Contest V Centenario Villa de Galapagar 2023, Madrid; and in 2024 the Unique Prize of the ‘Certamen de Cartas de Amor-Amores de Cine” of the city of Arucas (Las Palmas).

He has coordinated the edition of the book of poems and micro-stories ‘El árbol que tuvo un sueño’ (The tree that had a dream), by the Grupo Poético de Estepona (Estepona Poetry Group).

XXX Summer Book Fair. Until September 14, thousands of titles of all styles will be available to readers at very affordable prices, from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 24:00 hours.

In addition, as part of the XXX Summer Book Fair, there will be author signings on a daily basis, at 21:00 hours, on the Paseo Marítimo:
