Estepona celebrates this weekend the Oktoberfest as part of the program to encourage the participation of foreign residents.
This event, which is part of the ‘Sharing Cultures’ initiative, will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will showcase German culture, music and gastronomy.
The Estepona Town Hall has organized for this weekend a program to celebrate the well-known Oktoberfest, a party of German character and framed in the program ‘Sharing Cultures’, created to promote the participation of foreign residents in the city in social and cultural activities.
For three days our neighbors and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the typical German food and drink, as well as its culture and music. The Oktoberfest will take place on the Paseo Marítimo, at the height of the viewpoint of Carmen on Friday, from 19.00 to 01.00 hours; Saturday, from 12.00 to 01.00 hours; and Sunday, from 12.00 to 18.00 hours.
The event will feature performances by different music groups such as BANDido, Mami Curl & CO and New Tricksde, pop / rock, and Money Makers and Sara Curly, rock.
The municipal government team stresses the importance of these festivities to promote integration between citizens of other cultures who have chosen Estepona to live, so it is a priority to strengthen ties with these neighbors. Estepona has 135 different nationalities, and specifically the community of German residents is made up of almost 900 people who are registered in the city.
