The City Council authorizes the displacement of six local police officers to collaborate in the relief efforts for the victims of the DANA in Valencia.
The agents will be at the disposal of the police headquarters in the Valencian municipality of Sedaví, where they will take a large amount of material and food.
The City Council of Estepona has authorized the displacement of six agents of the Local Police of the city to Valencia to collaborate in the tasks of aid to the victims of the effects of the DANA. The policemen have shown their interest in collaborating directly in the various works that may be necessary in relation to the catastrophe experienced these days in the Valencian Community.
The proposal to move this group of volunteer officers responds to the need to strengthen the support and coordination between the body of the Local Police of Estepona and other volunteers displaced to the area, as well as collaborate with municipal services, in order to optimize resources and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
Specifically, the agents will be available to the Local Police Headquarters of the Valencian municipality of Sedaví, from where the police force of Estepona has expressed the urgent need for more human resources.
The officers designated for this task will be available to the municipal authorities at the times and conditions they determine, adapting to the specific needs of each event or activity in which their presence is required.
The policemen, who will work in the area until next Thursday, will bring to the area a huge amount of construction materials and basic necessities that they have been responsible for collecting, such as 100 bags, 36 brushes, 96 raederas, 48 shovels, extension cords, cheeks, diapers, milk, and first aid kits, among other products for search, cleaning and relief work. They will also carry two professional search and location drones provided by one of the agents. These devices are equipped with a thermal camera and loudspeakers, which can be of great help for the tasks they have to carry out.
To facilitate the movement of agents, one of them provides a Renault van, provided by the company Rombosol without any consideration. The City Council has also offered a pickup vehicle from the municipal fleet of operational brigades.
