Estepona City Council informs that the Children’s Room ‘Elvira Lindo’ of the Municipal Library, located in the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, will host next Thursday, February 26, at 11:30 am, the family storytelling ‘Stories that embrace the heart’, by Vanessa Lopez Morales. The activity is specially designed for children between 3 and 8 years old, and access will be free until full capacity is reached.
The session proposes a close and participatory encounter around stories that promote values such as empathy, affection, friendship and self-esteem. Through oral storytelling and interaction with the families attending, a space of emotional connection will be generated that reinforces the link between reading and affective development in childhood.
Vanesa López Morales is a teacher specialized in Hearing and Language, with experience in reading encouragement, storytelling and emotional education. Her profile brings an added value to traditional storytelling, integrating pedagogical knowledge, attention to diversity and communication strategies adapted to children.
This activity is part of the stable program of reading promotion promoted by the Municipal Library of Estepona (Room “Maria Zambrano”), which aims to bring the book and oral storytelling to children from an early age, promoting the reading habit and shared enjoyment in family.
Likewise, the Municipal Public Library continues to develop proposals aimed at young and adult audiences, including the philosophical conversation group “Philosophy and Ideas”, which is held monthly in its facilities. This space for dialogue and reflection is conceived as a meeting point for people interested in critical thinking, text analysis and the exchange of perspectives on current philosophical and social issues.
Anyone interested in participating in the “Philosophy and Ideas” group can register by sending an e-mail to biblioteca@estepona.es.
With these initiatives, the Municipal Library consolidates its role as a living space for culture, intergenerational encounters and citizen participation, offering activities adapted to different ages and interests.
