The City Council will award prizes to young designers of the country during the VIII Estepona Fashion Week

Interested persons, who must be between 18 and 35 years of age, may submit their proposals until August 31.

The organization will select the eight finalist designers who will show their work in a parade at the Botanical-Orchidarium Park.

The Estepona Town Hall has opened the registration period to participate in the V Contest of Young Designers ‘Estepona de Moda’, to be held within the VIII Estepona Fashion Week from 25 to 28 of next September.

Organized jointly with Juanchy García Estudio and image consultant Miguel Toledo, this contest aims to support and recognize the work of designers between 18 and 35 years old who were born or prove to reside and / or study in Spain at the time of publication of the rules of participation.

Those responsible for the contest will select the eight finalists, who will present their work in a parade that will take place on September 28 at the Botanical-Orquidario Park. On the same day, a jury made up of different professionals from the fashion world will choose the winner, who will receive a prize of 1,000 euros and a trophy. The second runner-up will receive a prize of 500 euros and trophy, and the third, 300 euros and trophy. In addition, the City Council will award five runners-up prizes of 200 euros.

The contest rules state that participation can only be on an individual basis. Interested persons must submit as a proposal a single collection in any of the different styles of the fashion industry, and shall consist of a total of 6 designs. The registration will be made by email to: esteponademoda@gmail.com, with an attached file (JPG, PNG, TIF or PDF) including photographs or sketches of the proposed designs in detail. In the subject of the email should specify: Contest ‘Estepona de Moda’.

The rules of this contest can be consulted on the notice board of the Estepona Town Hall website.
