More than 300 students will participate on April 10 in the Final of the IV Children’s Athletics Tournament

The Final will be held on April 10, starting at 9:30 a.m., at the Estepona Athletics Stadium.

The Estepona City Council informs that next Thursday, April 10 will be held the final of the ‘IV Children’s Athletics Tournament 2025’, organized by the Consistory, with the collaboration of the Estepona Athletics Club and the local Secondary Schools.

Once the training phase is completed, between February and April, more than 300 students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd ESO from ten schools will participate in the various tests included in the final, which will be held at the Municipal Athletics Stadium in Estepona from 9:30 am.

According to the category, the events are the following (male and female):

– Races: Speed (80/100 m.l.) and Endurance (600/800 m,l.)

– Competitions: Long Jump and Shot Put (3/4* kg male, and 3 kg female).

– Relay: 4×80/100 m.l.

Both male and female champion will be proclaimed, the school that obtains the highest number of points after adding the points of all tests, and medals will be awarded to the first three classified in each category, in each of the tests, both male and female. Trophies will also be awarded to the top three schools in each category, in the final score, both male and female.

Families who wish to accompany and encourage the participants will have access to the bleachers area.
