Conchita Ballesteros and Juan Infante win the 3rd and last event of the Andalusian Cup of Block Climbing held at the Municipal Climbing Wall.

The event, organized by the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking and the Estepona Mountain Group, in collaboration with the City Council, was held this past weekend.
The City Council of Estepona reports that the Municipal Climbing Wall was the epicenter of Andalusian climbing this weekend on the occasion of the last round of the Andalusian Cup of Block Climbing, a competition organized by the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking (FADMES) and the Estepona Mountain Group and the collaboration of the City Council of the municipality of Malaga.
The event brought together numerous athletes, highlighting the participation of local climbers from the Sports Schools of the Estepona Mountain Club, who have demonstrated their high level and competitive spirit, which shows that climbing continues to grow in Estepona, consolidating itself as a sport of reference and a training ground for future generations of athletes.
The young talents of the quarry have left the bar very high, achieving excellent results in their respective categories. Among them, in the Benjamin female category, Vera Pastor Llorente, from the Estepona Mountain Group sports school. She climbed the podium in third position and also won third place in the provincial championship in School Age in Malaga. In Benjamin male, Mijail Parasiy Boychuk has achieved third place in the provincial championship in School Age in Malaga. Representing the Estepona Mountain Group, Manilva climbers have also obtained great results. Juan Infante has been crowned with the first place in the Andalusian Cup of Block in Absolute male category, while Mar Carreño has achieved third place in Absolute female.
As for the overall competition, on Saturday entered the competition in the morning benjamines and juveniles, and children and cadets in the afternoon, while on Sunday did the rest (promotion, youth, absolute and veteran). As has been a constant in this Andalusian Cup of Climbing in Block, participation in the categories Benjamin, fry, child and cadet was very high.
In the absolute category won Conchita Ballesteros Perez and Juan Infante, who were accompanied on the podium by India Persson Fernandez and Mar Carreño Escobar, and Jaime Merino Martinez and Alvaro Paez Carabias.
In Juveniles, podium for Carmen Daza Ortigosa, Ariadna Ortiz Araujo and Sonia Lerma Sánchez, and Mario Ruiz Fernández, Arturo Benítez Ballesteros and Alex Tan Velasco Campos.
In Male Veteran, Sergio Serrano Bellido, Daniel García Espejo and Emilio Acosta Granados, while in Mixed Promotion was for Samuel Molina Ruiz, Javier Murillo Cobacho and Alejandro Morales Gómez.
The podiums in this last event were as follows:
Benjamín: Jimena Cañizares Ortega, Olga Romero Pineda and Vera Pastor Llorente; and Ernesto Sánchez Ojeda, Oliver Calzado González and Sawyer Galaz Gubin.
Alevín: Silvia Castro Torres, Natalia Calzado González and Daniela Jódar García; and Leo Cabello López, Julio Caparrós Requena and Fernando Osuna López.
Infantil: Natalia López Rodríguez, Jimena Castillo Cara and Alejandra Ríos Guerrero; and Sebastián Fry, Inari Castillo López and Manuel Castillo Cara.
Cadete: Paula Hernández Carballar, María Cronnelly González and Natalia Sánchez Pizarro; and David Reyes Haro, Abel Acosta Carramolino and Darío Márquez García.
