The Casa de Las Tejerinas will host an exhibition of abstract paintings by the artist Carmen Aranda Jurado.

The exhibition entitled ‘Con el ser en mis manos’ will be open to the public from April 3 to 16.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from April 3 an exhibition of paintings by the artist Carmen Aranda Jurado.
The pictorial sample, which is entitled ‘With the being in my hands’, can be visited until April 16, from Tuesday to Friday, from 09.00 to 20.00 hours; Saturdays, from 09.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 20.00 hours, with free access.
Carmen Aranda was born on July 5, 1961 in Cuevas Bajas (Malaga). Teacher by profession, she is dedicated to abstract painting on board, since 1988. In her beginnings she participated in several collective and individual exhibitions in Gerona, Cuevas Bajas, Antequera and Malaga. In recent years she has held several exhibitions at various international art fairs.
In her work, intimate memory gives way to a firm commitment to the expression of her world, with the passion of one who loves and believes in art. In 2018 she worked with several galleries: the Javier Román Gallery, Eka & Moor Art Gallery, Goyart Gallery, Gorgonio San Juan Gallery, Desat’art Project, (+)Arte, and Santana Art Gallery.
From then on she has not stopped exhibiting until, in early 2020, she was affected due to the cancellation of several projects by the COVID19.
In 2021 she resumed the exhibition work with the solo show ‘Sin memoria ni tiempo’, held in the Bryan Hartley Robinson room. In 2022 he participated in the group exhibition ‘Emoción y Frida’, together with an international Mexican artist for the Mare Nostrum gallery. At the beginning of 2023 Aranda held his last individual exhibition entitled ‘Mi pintura y yo’, at the Cártama Estación Library.
