Estepona to host the XXXII Andalusian Scout Song Festival

The meeting will take place on March 29 and 30 at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos, and will gather around 2,000 young people from Andalusia in an event that promotes scout values such as education, respect and protection of the environment.

The councilor attached to the delegation of Youth, Julia Simon; and the president and coordinator of Scouts Andalusia, Joaquin Muñoz and Alfredo Nunez, respectively, have reported that the next 29 and March 30 will be held at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses the XXXII Festival of Song Scouts of Andalusia.

This edition of the Festival, which will be entitled ‘The joy of living’, will bring together around 2,000 young people and adults of various ages and Scout groups throughout Andalusia. The main objective is to promote music as an educational and integration tool, encouraging coexistence, teamwork and respect for cultural diversity through songs, which are a vehicle of expression for scout values. This festival has evolved throughout its 32 editions, maintaining its essence as a space where participants can show their creativity and passion for music. It accommodates all types of compositions: from traditional songs to the most modern ones, always with the characteristic stamp of Scouting values, such as love for nature, solidarity, respect, cooperation, peace, fraternity and social commitment.

This recreational event is not only a musical competition; it is a meeting point for the members of the Scout movement in the region. The justification for its realization lies in several key aspects: its objectives include both the promotion of creativity and teamwork, as well as the promotion of the educational and social values of Scouting, in order to strengthen the Scout community, make its principles visible and provide a space for personal growth for all participants.

This festival is part of the tradition of ASDE Scouts of Andalusia, highlighting the role of music within its educational programs. During the day, the songs selected in each territorial Delegation will be performed, from which the songs that will represent the organization in the ASDE-Scouts of Spain Scout Festival will be chosen.

The Song Festival will start on Saturday at 12:30 pm and on Sunday at 10:30 am.
