The City Council concludes within the deadline the process for the stabilization of the municipal workforce
The procedure to reduce temporary employment has affected a total of 359 positions, most of them corresponding to labor personnel.
The Estepona City Council informs that, in application of European regulations for the reduction of temporary employment in public employment, and in compliance with the provisions of Law 20/2021 of December 28, for the same purpose, has concluded the process for the stabilization of the municipal staff. In this way, the Consistory complies with the deadlines established for the completion of these procedures.
The process of stabilization of the municipal staff initiated by the Consistory has included a total of 359 positions, mostly corresponding to labor personnel (only 6 are interim civil servants), which have been offered by the competitive selection system.
The bases were unanimously approved at the time by the General Negotiating Committee with all the union sections. The selection board has assessed both professional merits, as well as academic and training merits.
Law 20/2021 of December 28 complies with European regulations within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which channels the European Next Generation funds. The objective is to reduce the temporary employment rate of all administrations to below 8%, although it is up to each administration to call the corresponding procedures for the stability of personnel.
