The City Council will perfume the streets of the old town with orange blossom and lemon during Holy Week.

The special cleaning plan for Easter Week is made up of 30 workers.
The City Council of Estepona reports that the streets of the old town will be perfumed with orange blossom and lemon during Holy Week. This action is part of the special cleaning device that has been launched on the occasion of the celebration of the processions.
This device will be composed each day by an average of 30 workers who will work to make the city look its best image during these dates so marked.
As part of the special plan, intensive cleaning will be carried out in all processional routes, both before and after each parade. For this purpose, concentrated detergents with orange blossom and lemon scent will be used, evoking the spring blooming of orange and citrus trees, characteristic symbols of the city. This same product will also be applied around the containers and in the streets of the historic center.
During Holy Week, the waste collection service will also be reinforced with the installation of additional containers in the Casas Hermandades and churches. Likewise, the frequency of waste collection in the restoration areas of the center will be increased.
To ensure cleanliness during the processions, the containers will be previously removed by a vehicle with an open box and will be placed again at the end of each procession. In addition, each procession will be accompanied by four operators (two in front with a hydro-cleaning van and two behind), who will manually sweep the route and remove the waste generated during the procession.
The device will culminate on Holy Saturday with an intensive cleaning of the wax spilled on the official route. For this, two hydro-cleaning vans and a stripper will intervene using hot water at high pressure.
This special cleaning plan reflects the commitment of the City Council of Estepona with the care of the urban environment, especially during a celebration with great roots and citizen participation such as Easter.
Reinforcement beaches
On the other hand, the City Council of Estepona will intensify during Easter cleaning and maintenance of the coastline in the busiest beaches of the municipality as La Rada, El Cristo and El Padron.
These works are in addition to those who have been doing in recent weeks to remove the reeds of the past storm that have been deposited throughout the coast.
In addition, operators will continue to focus on work and the removal of debris.
