The Estepona City Council continues with the improvement of streets in the municipality and has in phase of awarding the works with which it will proceed to the integral remodeling of the Conejera square.
The base budget of the intervention is 174,860 euros (VAT included), and the execution period of the works has been set at two months from the signing of the contract.
The action is part of a special plan of actions in neighborhoods and suburbs in which the City Council has been working and which will begin to run shortly with major works in various parts of the municipality. The idea behind the work is to undertake those actions most needed and requested by the neighbors, thus promoting the improvement of the quality of life in the area.
The programmed intervention in the Conejera square includes the space bounded by the streets Mallorca, Cabrera and Valencia avenue. A total of 600 square meters will be covered.
The work includes the renovation of the pavement and the existing street furniture, including playground equipment and bio-health elements. The new flooring of the square will be made of materials suitable for the integration of this space with the Chess square in terms of the characteristics of these materials and colors.
The renovation project of the square includes the installation of a rainwater collection network that will prevent the accumulation of water during the rainy season. It is also planned to install an ornamental fountain in which materials will be used to enhance the beauty of this element, for which a marble composition has been chosen. Finally, the area will be equipped with the electricity and water supply installations necessary to service the fountain.
