The Municipal Library will be open on Saturday and Sunday for the preparation of the PEvAU.
The initiative aims to meet the needs of students who face the extraordinary call of the Baccalaureate Evaluation Test for University Entrance (PEvAU).
Estepona City Council informs that, as on previous occasions, the Municipal Public Library will remain open this weekend, July 8 and 9, from 09:00 to 21:00 hours, uninterrupted, in order to facilitate the study of students facing the Baccalaureate Evaluation Test for University Entrance (PEvAU) for the academic year 2022/2023, which will be held in Andalusia from 11 to 13 July, in extraordinary call.
On the other hand, the summer opening hours of the Municipal Library will continue to be from 08:30 to 21:00 hours, Monday to Friday, uninterrupted, and on Saturdays, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours.
The Municipal Library, located in the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, has recently expanded its facilities, reorganizing the distribution of spaces in its two rooms, as well as creating new ones.
The Antonia Guerrero room is intended for study, consultation and reference, housing encyclopedic collections, dictionaries and other collections. The facilities also have an interior room for books in other languages and Internet access with computers for public use.
Last year, a new study room was set up on the second floor, whose opening hours are linked to the center’s opening hours, which are longer than those of the library itself.
The María Zambrano room, which houses the resources available for loan, such as books, films and music, has been designed to meet and interact with users. It also has a space for literary meetings that can be reserved for reading clubs or any other meeting that has a purpose in line with the use of the library, which has become a space for reading newspapers and magazines.
