The Casa de las Tejerinas hosts the collective benefit exhibition against breast cancer ’19 October, 19 artists’.
The inauguration will coincide with the world day for this disease and will be open until November 2.
The Estepona City Council informs that, coinciding with the World Day against Breast Cancer, Room 2 of the Casa de las Tejerinas will host from next Saturday, October 19, the charity group exhibition ‘October 19, 19 artists’. The opening of the exhibition will take place at 7:00 pm.
The project, curated by artist Fernanda J. Carregado and cultural manager Sergio Croma, aims to give visibility to breast cancer from an artistic approach and, on the other hand, raise funds through the sale of the works. The funds raised will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer, which will use them entirely in the fight against this disease and, in this case, to the headquarters of Estepona chaired by Julia Crespo.
The councilman of Historical Heritage, Daniel Garcia, today presented the exhibition, which consists of works by 19 artists, each with different records, interests, ages and backgrounds. This year will be the first edition. Through a wide range of techniques and disciplines, this group of artists converge in this collective exhibition of photography, painting, sculpture and textile art, to portray the diverse reality of people with breast cancer.
Participating in the exhibition are: Vaz, Stella Karnazón, Pepa Cano, Nayra Martín Reyes, Merche Ber, Maita de Pablos, Marta Bernad, Marie Isabelle Poirier Troyano, María Egea, Liviana Leone, Karen Gajate, Judith Borobio, Fernanda J. Carregado, Elena Camacho, David Burbano, Claudia Frau, Bianca de Vilar, Ana Iturrate and Adela Aguilera.
The exhibition can be visited until November 2, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with free access.
