The City Council is moving forward with construction of two new free paddle tennis courts on the outskirts of town

The new facilities, planned for Nueva Atalaya, will complement those already in the area, which include a paddle tennis court and a multipurpose sports court

The Estepona City Council reports on the progress of construction work on two new paddle tennis courts it is building in the Nueva Atalaya neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city. This initiative is part of the city’s commitment to continue expanding the network of free outdoor sports facilities and to promote sports and healthy lifestyles among residents.

Regarding the progress of the work, it is reported that construction of the esplanade has already been completed, with a properly compacted gravel subbase. Work is currently underway to install conduits around the entire perimeter, which will house the wiring for the lighting and irrigation systems.

Once this work is complete, the reinforcement for the slab foundation will be installed, and concrete pouring is scheduled for next week. Subsequently, construction will begin on the entire perimeter of the court.

These new courts are located on a plot of approximately 400 square meters and will complement the existing sports facilities in the area, which include a padel court and a multipurpose court used for indoor soccer, basketball, and other sports. With this initiative, the City Council continues to improve the municipal sports offerings and responds to the growing demand for spaces to play padel in Estepona.

This project, with a budget of 124,503.57 euros (including VAT), will expand sports options, revitalize the area, and promote social integration through sports.

This project is part of the municipal strategy to provide outlying neighborhoods with modern and functional infrastructure. The City Council is committed to offering quality facilities throughout Estepona, ensuring free access to sports as a means of improving the health and well-being of the population.
