The City Council of Estepona has launched, coinciding with the school year, a free toy library service aimed at families with difficulty in reconciling their family life and / or work for children between 6 and 16 years. This program of reconciliation of families with children is part of the ‘Plan Corresponsables’, for which the City Council has received a grant of 173,844 euros from the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the Junta de Andalucía.
The objective of this plan is to favor the conciliation of families with children and young people up to 16 years of age, from an approach of equality between women and men; to create quality employment in the care sector; and to dignify and certify the professional experience of non-formal care.
In addition to the ‘Guardianship and custody service for family reconciliation’ included in the program, ‘Training plans on co-responsibility and care’ for men have also been included.
After the success of the first phase of the program during the summer months, the toy library aimed at children between 6 and 16 years of age will now continue from Monday to Friday, from 16.00 to 20.00 hours, adapted to family needs, and will offer a unique combination of homework assistance and recreational extracurricular activities.
The ‘Plan Corresponsables’ is aimed at families with lack of resources, with the only requirement of being registered or working in the town. Those interested can formalize the registration form, completely free of charge and until places are filled, in the facilities of the Training Academy ECOS Group, the company awarded for the development of these plans, located on the street Las Camelias, with telephone: 952 80 51 64.
