Dorota Zys, originally from Poland and resident in Spain, is an outstanding contemporary artist whose work is marked by bold monochromatic tones, dynamic lines and fluid forms. Her training began in Poland, where she studied painting at university, honing her skills and fostering a keen eye for detail. Seeking to broaden her knowledge, she studied at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in Photography, Art Criticism and Fine Arts Pedagogy.

Described as emotional and expressive, her work captures the essence of human emotions and internal dialogue through abstract forms. Her work shows the interplay between chaos and order, inviting the viewer to reflect on the complexities of the human experience.

Inspired by cultural, historical and personal elements, Dorota Zys endows her works with layers of meaning, fusing the raw energy of urban landscapes with the serenity of nature. Her series ‘Essence of Perception’ explores the relationship between the senses and emotions, highlighting how our perception creates our reality.

With an experimental approach and a constant search for new forms of expression, Zys uses abstraction to go beyond the boundaries of traditional art. Her works invite viewers on an introspective journey and explore the mysteries of human existence.

During the past year, the artist held more than 10 exhibitions in Spain and Gibraltar, demonstrating the growing recognition of her work.
