A total of 312 schoolchildren from 13 schools participated on Friday in the Athletics Final of the 2023-24 School Games.
The activity is organized by the 24 Hours Sports Foundation, with the collaboration of the Estepona City Council.
The Estepona City Council reports that last Friday May 31 was held at the Municipal Athletics Stadium the School Athletics Final of the School Games (JJEE), course 2023-2024, organized by the 24 Hours Sports Foundation, with the collaboration of the Consistory, in schools in the town.
A total of 312 students participated in this final, representing the 13 participating schools in the 2023-24 course: CEIP Antonio Machado, María Espinosa, Ntra. Sra. del Carmen, Sto. Tomás de Aquino, CEPr Víctor de la Serna, CEIP Ramón Lago, Sierra Bermeja, Simón Fernández, Ramón García y Valeriano López, Colegio Juan XXIII, and CEIP García Lorca and Isdabe del Mar.
The program of activities included tests in the modalities of speed (50ml), resistance (400 ml) and 4X100 ml relays, the final results being the following:

The winners received their corresponding gold, silver and bronze medals, and all participants received a commemorative diploma.
The day also had the collaboration of Aprona, students from the EDUFY Training Center, volunteers from the Estepona Athletics Club, as well as the sports monitors of the 24 Hours Sports Foundation, staff of the foundation and the municipal delegation of Sports, and the invaluable help of teachers, principals of the participating schools.
The conference was attended by the Councillor for Sport, Luis Gil Amores, and the medal ceremony was attended by the president of the 24 Hours Sports Foundation, Manuel Vallejo Torrecilla, as well as other trustees, teachers of Physical Education and representatives of the Athletics Club Estepona.
The next appointment with Athletics will be during the celebration of the XLVII edition of the 24 Hours of Sports, on Saturday, June 8, starting at 11.00 a.m., at the Athletics Stadium.
