City Council opens registration period for Culture 2024/2025 courses and workshops

The registration period will be open from September 10 to 25. The quarterly classes will begin on October 1 and will end in June 2025.

Estepona City Council informs that next September 10 will open the registration period for the Courses and Workshops of Culture 2024/2025, offering a wide variety of disciplines for all ages. The period will remain open until September 25th. Classes will begin on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, and will end at the end of June 2025.

The municipal delegation of Culture will offer online access for enrollment in the Courses and Workshops 2024/25 at: cursoscultura.estepona.es. Also, they can be made in person at the Town Hall, from 10 to 16 September, from 09.30 to 14.00 hours, by appointment.

The Councillor for Culture, Festivals and Popular Traditions, Macarena Diánez, has highlighted the aid offered by the City Council to groups that are in a situation of greater vulnerability and are registered in Estepona, with a 50% reduction in the cost of courses. Also benefiting from this 50% discount will be students enrolled in the Adult Center of Estepona, Solfeggio students enrolled in Piano, youth correspondents accredited by the municipal delegation of Youth, and students who are part of a large family unit.

Also, will have a 100% discount for students of the Municipal Band workshop to do their practices in the same band, and a bonus of 25% for those who are enrolled in more than one course of the municipal delegation of Culture.

All courses and workshops programmed must be paid in advance by quarters, after registration. The bonuses will not be cumulative. Students who applied for bonuses last year will not have to apply this quarter.

The Courses and Workshops of the Delegation of Culture that will be given this year 2024-2025 are the following:

Artistic Area. Theater, with Juan Jesús Luque.

Dance Area. Ballroom Dancing (Latin Rhythms, Sevillanas and Bridal Choreography), with Mariví Rodríguez; Classical-Flamenco Dance, with Eva Alarcón; Preparatory Elementary and Intermediate Level of the Andalusian Flamenco School, with Lourdes Barrientos; and Flamenco Dance, Castanets and Latin Rhythms, with Maribel García.

Handicrafts Area. Drawing and Painting, with Rocío Garín; Fabric Painting, Tiffany and Polychromy, with Lina María Barrientos; and Bobbin Lace, with Rosario Amate and Isabel Mena (Enrollment in this last course with Isabel Mena will be formalized at the 24 Hours Sports Foundation).

Language Area. English, with Juan Sergio Picardo.

Music Area. Flamenco Guitar, with Paco Javier Jimeno; Percussion, with Chico Fargas; Solfeo and Piano, with Joaquín Castellano; and Musical and Instrumental Training Workshop for Music Band, with José Antonio López Camacho.

Courses in Cancelada. Chess; Belly Dance and Latin Dances, with Paulina Partal; Bobbin Lace, with Isabel Mena; Crafts and Handicrafts, and Design and Pattern Making, with M.ª Eugenia Espinosa. (Enrollment in these last three courses will be formalized at the 24 Hours Sports Foundation).

Other courses(by tender of Culture classrooms or collaboration agreements). In Estepona: Modern Dance, with Laura Perea; History of Art, with Victoria Infante; Learning to Sing, with Ana Fargas; French (Alliance Française), and Dance Therapy, with Inmaculada Chacón (Social Affairs).
