Estepona celebrates the traditional Subida a Peñas Blancas, valid for the Andalusian Mountain Championship, which will bring together the elite of motor racing.
The event, included in the Provincial Motor Racing Championship of the Provincial Council of Malaga, will be held from April 26th to 28th. It is one of the most demanding and awaited sporting events on the national scene.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that the XV Subida Estepona-Peñas Blancas 2024, valid for the Campeonato de Andalucía de Automovilismo de Montaña 2024, will once again bring together the regional champions in the 4th Subida de Campeones Estepona-Peñas Blancas.
The Subida a Peñas Blancas has become a national and regional reference and an unmissable event in the calendar of motor racing competitions. It will take place from April 26 to 28 with the longest route in the national panorama (7.5 km-MA 8301), where the following championships will be contested:
– 4th Subida Campeones (the champions of each autonomous community are cited).
– Andalusian Mountain Championship (4th round of the Andalusian Championship 2024).
– Copa Diputación de Málaga (motor races held in the province of Malaga).
The competition will have a total of six races; three will be held on Saturday 27 April from 15:00 hours, and others on Sunday 28 from 9:30 hours.
As in the last edition, the starting point will be Guillermo Cabrera Street (Los Reales Avenue area), locating the Working Park, Closed Park or Exhibition Park, and the Permanent Office in the Fair and Sports Grounds from Friday 26 from 18:00 hours, time scheduled for the start of the Technical Verifications (optional).
On Saturday, April 27, from 20:00 hours, at the traffic circle of the European Union, is scheduled the celebration of the ‘Starting Ceremony’, where the drivers and teams participating in the Subida Estepona Peñas Blancas will be presented with a light and sound show.
The Town Hall informs that, due to the celebration of this important competition, during that weekend the traffic will remain closed in the affected areas while the different activities are taking place.
