Estepona City Council informs that the BOE publishes today the call for 5 new positions for Local Police.

Interested parties may submit their applications until August 11.

The City Council of Estepona informs that the Official State Gazette (BOE) has published today the bases of a new public call for employment for five positions in the Local Police Headquarters, in order to fill vacancies corresponding to the public employment offer of 2023.

The bases were previously published in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) to comply with the regulations governing public offers of employment.

After publication in the BOE, from Monday will open a period of 20 working days for those wishing to take part in the selective tests may submit their application addressed to the holder of the Mayor-Presidency of the City Council, stating that they meet each and every one of the requirements, except those of age, driving licenses and qualifications to be accredited by documentary evidence along with the application.

Applications must be submitted until August 11 at the General Registry of the Town Hall.

Those interested must meet the requirements to qualify for the call and during the process, candidates must pass physical and psycho-technical tests. Those who get a place will subsequently receive a training course at the Institute of Emergencies and Public Safety of Andalusia (IESPA).

On the other hand, it should be noted that the Estepona City Council is finalizing the selection process of the fourth public call for employment, which will involve the incorporation of nine other agents to the municipal staff.

The commitment of the Consistory is to continue strengthening the Local Police to cover all existing positions in the workforce, recalling, in that sense, that the City Council is carrying out these procedures following the maximum public procurement allowed by the Central Government.

Also, reiterate that the Consistory will continue to convene new public offers of employment to provide more human resources to the Police Headquarters and recalled that the Consistory has provided, through various public calls since 2011, a total of 34 police positions, 4 sub-inspectors and 6 officers.
