Prize: City promotes top athletes
Top athletes can still apply until Tuesday, 21 March, to the City of Estepona for the II. Premios al Mérito. The sports prize is worth a total of 15,000 euros, which will be awarded to several successful athletes from Estepona.
To be eligible, the top athletes must have participated in an official competition in 2022 in an Olympic sport or a sport recognised by the Consejo Superior de Deportes.
Another requirement for the application is that the athletes have been registered in Estepona since 1 January 2022. They must also have belonged to a Spanish sports federation since at least 1 January 2022 and be able to present their competition results. The cash prizes are to be invested by the top athletes in their sport in turn.
