The XXVIII Book Fair will host in August the presentation of the new literary works of Esteponeros Julio Peces Ruiz and Teresa Floro.
The Estepona Summer Book Fair began on July 20, and will remain on the Paseo Marítimo until September 18, from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 24:00 hours.
The Estepona City Council informs that the Estepona writer Julio Peces Ruiz will sign copies of his book ‘El sonido del silencio’, on Thursday, August 3, at 21:00 hours, as part of the XXVIII Summer Book Fair held at the Paseo Marítimo.
After several years as a proofreader and typesetter for several publishers and individuals, with this book, the author inaugurates his own publishing company, Ediciones Sakana. In the words of the poet Luis Alberto de Cuenca, author of the prologue, this is “a realistic and psychologically profound story that invites us with its melancholic beauty to accept life as it is, with its joy and sadness in equal parts”.
Likewise, the journalist and poetess of Estepona, Teresa Floro, will sign copies of her first book, ‘Secretos empolvados’, on Thursday, August 17, at 21:00 hours. A collection of erotic poems under the seal of Ediciones Sakana, with illustrations by international artist Paloma Ripollés, and prologue by writer and journalist Andrés González-Barba Capote.
The XXVII Summer Book Fair, organized by the company ‘Urbano Libros’, in collaboration with the municipal delegation of Culture, started last July 20 with the assistance of the writer Javier Gonzalez Zaragoza, who presented the literary work ‘The Pawnee Fire’, denouement of the trilogy ‘Children of the Wolf’. This historical fiction of adventures, set in the tribes of the plains and mountain foothills, closes a series that began with ‘La Aurora Sioux’, followed by ‘La Reliquia Cheyenne’.
Until September 18, thousands of titles of all styles will be available to reading lovers at very affordable prices, from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 24:00.
