The former national soccer coach Vicente del Bosque has visited his summer campus, which this year celebrates its tenth edition in Estepona. This sporting event, which has become one of the benchmarks of leisure for young people during the summer vacations, has been developed since July 10 at the municipal stadium Francisco Muñoz Pérez and will be closed tomorrow, July 28.
Vicente del Bosque, who has been accompanied by the deputy mayor of the Sociocultural area, Paula Herrera, and the councilman attached to the delegation of Sports, Daniel Garcia, said that in addition to a sports and leisure proposal for the holiday period, the Estepona campus aims to instill in participants a commitment to a healthy lifestyle based on a coexistence that unites mental development, sports practice and good nutrition.
The former national team coach has highlighted the success of this campus which, as he has indicated, is based on connecting sport and positive values such as friendship, companionship, sportsmanship, integration and effort. All these values “are present in sporting activity and are fundamental in the development and training of young people”.
Finally, del Bosque thanked the municipal representatives for the collaboration and support that the City Council shows in each of the editions of this campus, while has valued the wide range of sports facilities available to the municipality. and its quality.
Moreover, note that 80 students have participated each week in this sports campus, which has also offered 5 places for children selected by the municipal delegation of Social Welfare.
