Work: Plants are cut back

Currently, city employees are cleaning the bed of several streams and rivers and pruning the plants there. This is to prevent flooding and fires. The clearing and pruning work has to be done now, as the city is no longer allowed to work on the stream and river beds from spring onwards. The reason for this is to protect animals that then lay their eggs there.

In addition to the work on the stream and river beds, the city employees also carry out clearing and cleaning work on the rural roads. The aim is not only to remove visual obstructions for motorists, but also to help prevent forest fires.
