The mayor receives the CAB Estepona women’s team after achieving promotion to the elite basketball league.

The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, today received the members of the CAB Estepona women’s team, who yesterday made history by becoming the first team from Malaga to be promoted to the elite of Spanish basketball. After their victory against Unicaja, the CAB Estepona players achieved their entry into the Endesa Women’s League for next season.

The alderman has congratulated all athletes and their coaching staff for the excellent season they have carried out and for this well-deserved promotion to the elite of Spanish basketball. In his opinion, the CAB Estepona players have achieved that the city has closer ties with the sport.
