The XIII Muay Thai evening gathered last Saturday more than 1,000 spectators at El Calvario Park.

The competition has become an unmissable event for fans of this discipline.

The Estepona City Council reports that the El Calvario Park gathered more than 1,000 spectators last Saturday, September 27, to witness the XIII Muay Thai evening, in which various sports clubs from around the country participated.

The evening, organized by the Golden Boy Muaytai Sports Club of Estepona, had the support of the Andalusian Federation and the Spanish Federation of KB (Kickboxing) and Muay Thai, and the collaboration of the Consistory.

After the fights of the amateur and junior categories, the public enjoyed an exciting evening of K1 within the Golden Boy Golden Series. In total there were 30 fights. The highlight of the evening came at 22:00 hours with the professional fights: Xavi Lantaron (Ultimatum), a veteran with great experience and titles in his career, was proclaimed Golden Series K1 champion by defeating the young fighter Navarrete (Thai Dragon) with a spectacular ko. On the other hand, Abraham Reposo showed again his class and was proclaimed Hispasur champion after defeating Nieto (Laqueus) in a fight dominated from start to finish. Mohamed Patas (Tiger Ceuta) could not retain the Golden Series title, as he was defeated by Jesus Ariza “Cartucho” (Thai Dragon), after suffering a protective count in the third round. All eyes were on the last dance of Carlos de Celis (Lum King ko) VS Francisco Sallent (Shogun), Andalusia professional championship 72.5, a fight where the whole audience stood up, proclaiming champion Carlos de Celis.

The councilman attached to the delegation of Sports, Luis Gil, said that each edition of this event is a success of public, which has made this competition an unmissable event for fans of this discipline.

In addition, he has returned to thank the great work carried out by the Golden Boy club in the preparation of wrestlers, many of whom have a consolidated career, placing some of them as first in Spain and Andalusia.
