Synopsis of ‘Fundido a negro’ (Editorial Almuzara). Ramón Ramírez is an actor. And he is determined to commit the perfect crime. During the filming of an ambitious series, Ramón plans to stick to the script and execute a millimetrically calculated murder with the help of the mysterious Crow Man. Everything must happen in broad daylight, on a set full of cameras, technicians and actors. No one can suspect. No one must link it to the victim. However, when a corpse turns up earlier than expected and the plan begins to unravel, the shoot becomes a trap. Ramón discovers that he is not the only one keeping secrets. The set is transformed into a crime scene and the boundaries between fiction and reality begin to blur, while the police investigation progresses and all eyes are on him. Lies, ambition and a murder come together in a crime novel with touches of even blacker humor that delves into the dark side of the audiovisual world. Here, every shot could be the last.

Julio Peces Ruiz (Estepona, 1992) has been passionate, since childhood, about cinema and literature. He began writing juvenile adventure novels in his adolescence, publishing his first work, ‘Blue Sky. La alianza del cielo azul’ (2010), at the age of eighteen. After graduating in Spanish Language and Literature and Dramatic Art, he has held various jobs, such as proofreader, typesetter or manager at book fairs, always combining them with writing and his other activities, including acting or the study of Japanese language and culture. In recent years, already adopting a more mature style, he writes novels such as ‘El sonido del silencio’ (2022), books about cinema such as ‘Esto es un desastre. Las mejores películas del cine de catástrofes’ (2022) or short film scripts such as ‘Memorias de sangre’ (2021) or ‘El tiempo airado’ (2024).
