It will begin on Monday, August 3, and is funded by the European Social Fund Plus and organized by the INCYDE Foundation.

The Estepona City Council reports that next Monday, August 3, the first of the free training courses sponsored by the City Council will begin, aimed at young people interested in gaining knowledge and improving their employability.

This first training program will focus on Bar and Cafeteria Service, a hands-on course designed to facilitate entry into the job market in one of the sectors with the highest demand for professionals.

This program is made possible by a grant awarded to the City Council as part of the “Youth Entrepreneurship Pathways” call for proposals, promoted by the INCYDE Foundation (an organization linked to the Chambers of Commerce that promotes training and entrepreneurship) and funded through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), the European Union’s main instrument for supporting employment, education, and social inclusion.

This initiative has a total budget of 200,000 euros, of which 170,000 euros are co-financed by the ESF+, and will serve at least 75 young people between the ages of 16 and 29 during the period from August to December 2026.

Thus, as part of this funding, the City Council will offer courses in various professional fields that are in high demand in the labor market. Specifically, in addition to this first course on Bar and Cafeteria Service, other training programs will be offered in Basic Restaurant and Bar Operations, Restaurant Services, Social and Health Care for Dependent Individuals in Social Institutions, and Medical Transportation.

Through this initiative, the City Council reinforces its commitment to promoting youth employment by facilitating access to qualified training in strategic sectors and contributing to the municipality’s economic and social development.

Those interested in registering for this first course, as well as for the other training programs, may do so by calling 952809000 (extensions 1481 and 1421), 952805164, and 657494283, or by email at estepona@grupoecos.net
