On August 7, the City Council celebrates Tourist Day to thank visitors for choosing Estepona

The queens and ladies of the Fair and Annual Festivals will carry out the traditional distribution of carnations, and the “Honorary Tourist 2026” award will be presented. In addition, as a new feature this year, there will be a free yoga session accompanied by live flamenco guitar music.

The Estepona City Council announces that on Friday, August 7, it will celebrate Tourist Day to thank visitors who have once again chosen our city as their vacation destination.

The events will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the Paseo Marítimo (near the La Menina sculpture), where, for the first time, a free yoga session will be offered, accompanied by live flamenco guitar music. As explained by Ana Velasco, Deputy Mayor for FIT (Development, Infrastructure, and Tourism), the City Council remains committed to the well-being of its citizens and to promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Also, as part of the day’s celebrations, at 12:00 p.m., the “Honorary Tourist 2026” award will be presented to Pedro Javier Rodríguez Pérez and Paula Medina Denja, in recognition of the special bond they have shared with our city for decades.

Following this, the queens and ladies of the Fair and Annual Festivals will carry out the traditional distribution of carnations to tourists as a symbolic gesture of gratitude. They will walk through downtown areas such as Real and Terraza streets, Las Flores and Doctor Arce squares, and the Paseo Marítimo.

In addition, the City Council will set up an outdoor information booth next to the Tourist Office (Plaza de las Flores), where brochures in various languages will be distributed to tourists to inform them about the diverse cultural, sports, and leisure activities available in Estepona.
