Polish artist Aga Strauss returns to the Casa de Las Tejerinas with a new painting exhibition titled “Changes on the Horizon”

The exhibition will be open to the public through September 23, with free admission

The Estepona City Council announces that Aga Strauss, a Polish artist who has lived on the Costa del Sol for 18 years, will present her painting exhibition “Changes on the Horizon” today, Thursday, in Gallery 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores.

This exhibition clearly showcases the evolution of this innovative artist, who has previously exhibited in the same gallery. She conveys her empathy with nature and the dreams that every human being has when gazing toward the horizon. Aga Strauss’s talent lies in her ability to transform her emotions into a wide spectrum of colors and light.

The exhibition will be open until September 23, Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.

Aga Strauss (Agnieszka Rozek-Strauss). Born in Zgorzelec (Poland) in 1973, she has always been passionate about drawing and painting. At age 10, she began drawing portraits of her family. She graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Design and Jewelry Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland.

After receiving her diploma with honors in 1999, she devoted her entire professional life to furniture, jewelry, and interior design, working for local manufacturers and designers. At that time, she was also a full-time mother of two children, and whenever she had free time—mainly at night—she continued to draw and paint.

In 2006, along with her family, she moved from Poland to southern Europe, to the coast of Andalusia, where for years she has devoted most of her time to painting and drawing in her studio. Her passion for painting and drawing is evident in her works. Aga has explored her own pain, transforming it into an expression of self-knowledge and relief. Fearless and boundless, the artist leads us to discover the tranquility and peace that can only be attained after navigating the ups and downs of life.

Aga is a member of APLAMA—the Association of Visual Artists in Málaga. She also teaches painting and drawing classes incorporating elements of art therapy for children and adults at the Mijas Arts Center, and works as an interior designer.

In recent years, the artist has participated in group and solo exhibitions at various galleries and institutions in Spain and the Netherlands, including the Mijas Arts Center, the APLAMA Gallery, the Málaga Provincial Council, the Estepona and Seville City Councils, and the Casa Adnew International Gallery in Málaga and Amsterdam, among others.
