The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next Thursday, November 7, a new exhibition of paintings by the multidisciplinary artist Mar Rivera.
Her latest artistic project is called ‘Transcend’, in which the Sevillian artist has been able to experiment on the background of creation from the spontaneous. “Each work is made from spontaneity, catching the instant”. The exhibition can be visited until November 20, from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours; and Saturdays, from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.
Mar Rivera (1968) began her studies in the artistic branch of Sculpture at the School of Art of Seville in 2008, and for four years she developed Plastic Arts and Design in the modalities of Technician in Artistic Casting and Molding, in Artistic Wood and Stone Carving, and in Artistic Forging. In 2010 he entered the University of Seville, in the Degree of Fine Arts, where he perfected the area of Drawing and Painting.
He has had different stages of activity since then, with successive exhibitions in Rota, Conil de la Frontera and Estepona, the last one, last summer.
She has also participated in group exhibitions in New York, with Van Der Plas Gallery; in Germany, at the Ruhr Art Fair (C.A.R.); and in Excellence Art Gallery and Magpie International in Marbella, with which she continues to collaborate.
She considers herself an interpreter of the landscape; she interprets it in a free and spontaneous way, without any programming, and from there horizons emerge. Her only interest is “to control spontaneity, to put in order all color, lines, to reach a balance in the execution of the work”.
