Art: Collection on display at Mirador del Carmen
The Mirador del Carmen exhibition centre in Estepona is hosting the exhibition “Life in Painting. Spanish Art in the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection” is on show. On display will be 46 works that provide a view of Spanish painting from the last decades of the 19th century to the first decades of the 21st century.
Among others, works by the Spanish artists Joaquín Sorolla, Julio Romero de Torres and Mariano Fortuny, Antoni Tàpies, Antonio Saura, Luis Feito and Menchu Gal can be viewed. But also on display is the work “Beach in Estepona with a View of the Rock of Gibraltar”, a landscape by the German painter Fritz Bamberger from 1855.
The exhibition can be visited from Thursday, 6 April. It is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm. Admission is 6 euros (concessions 4 euros). Estepona residents can visit the exhibition free of charge due to a cooperation agreement.
