Education: Pupils go on a walk

A total of 3,500 primary and secondary school students from 17 schools in the city, aged between 7 and 16 years, took part in the 2022-23 school walking programme. This was announced by the City of Estepona. The school walking programme aims not only to promote physical activity among children and young people, but also to raise environmental awareness.

To this end, municipal delegations have prepared a series of routes that have been walked throughout the school year. The routes are of low to medium difficulty and last about three and a half hours. In total, almost 70 excursions have been carried out, with 50 pupils taking part in each.
