Music: Young talents wanted at the “Ciudad de Estepona”
Young musicians can prove their talent at the fifth edition of the “Ciudad de Estepona” competition for young musicians. The winner will receive 1,000 euros, the runner-up 700 euros and the third place 500 euros. In addition, cash prizes will be awarded in other categories.
The competition is open to young musicians up to the age of 13 who play the piano, string instruments (violin, viola and cello), wind instruments, harp or guitar. Musicians celebrating their 14th birthday on 30 April – the last day of the competition – are also eligible.
The best musicians will compete in the semi-finals at the Colegio San José on Saturday 29 April at 10 am and in the final at the Auditorium Felipe VI in Estepona on Sunday 30 April at 11 am. The jury is made up of music professors, heads of music institutions and musicians.
Musicians can apply for the competition until Sunday, 2 April. More information about the competition is available at ayuntamiento.estepona.es.
Interested parties can watch the performances. Admission is free.
