The Estepona Fair attracts nearly half a million visitors and has established itself as one of the summer’s major events

The City Council highlights the high turnout at the free concerts and activities organized for people of all ages
The Estepona City Council reports that this year’s Estepona Fair and Annual Festival has come to a close on a very positive note, attracting nearly half a million visitors during the festivities and cementing its status as one of the Costa del Sol’s major summer events.
Macarena Diánez, the councilwoman in charge of Culture and Festivals, highlighted the high level of participation by residents and visitors in all the scheduled activities, as well as the atmosphere of camaraderie and normalcy that characterized this year’s event. The extensive security and coordination measures implemented by the City Council, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, Civil Protection, and various municipal services, ensured that the fair proceeded without major incidents, providing a safe and peaceful venue for families, young people, and seniors to enjoy.
Once again, one of the main attractions of the program was the Municipal Pavilion, which drew large crowds throughout the fair thanks to its free, high-quality lineup. The “Número Uno” concerts featuring Diego Martín, Nuria Fergó, Joana Jiménez, Los Yakis, and Paco Candela drew thousands of people each night, becoming some of the fair’s highlights. These were joined by performances by Samuel Vélez, Baraka & Ana Soto, Kiko Peña, Juan José Alcántara, Acontratiempo, and the Roma Orchestra, which maintained a festive atmosphere and high attendance throughout the week.
The program also once again focused on offering activities for people of all ages. The traditional opening speech and the lighting of the festival lights officially kicked off the festivities, which included a parade of giants and big-heads, dance shows, performances by local dance schools, the children’s festival, an afternoon snack for seniors, Children’s Day with discounted prices on rides, Fried Egg Day, Paella Day, as well as performances by the town’s dance schools.
The free horse-drawn carriage rides were once again a big hit, allowing dozens of people over several days to enjoy one of the fair’s most iconic traditions. Likewise, the Horse Parade and the 9th Andalusian Horse Tack Competition brought together numerous equestrian enthusiasts, helping to keep Andalusian traditions alive. The traditional fair bullfight, featuring Talavante, Juan Ortega, and Roca Rey, rounded out a program that once again drew thousands of fans.
The City Council would like to thank the municipal workers, the Local Police, the National Police, the Civil Guard, the Fire Department, Civil Protection, health services, cleaning and maintenance staff, as well as fair vendors and participating groups, whose work was essential to the smooth running of the festivities.
Likewise, the City Council has highlighted the exemplary behavior of residents and visitors, who have helped ensure that the Estepona Fair took place in an atmosphere of respect, camaraderie, and fun, without any notable incidents and with high participation in all organized activities.
The success of this year’s event confirms the appeal of the Estepona Fair and Annual Festival as a benchmark for leisure and community spirit, thanks to a varied, free program designed for all audiences, which each year attracts a growing number of visitors and reinforces the town’s image as one of the Costa del Sol’s leading tourist and event destinations.
