The opening of the exhibition ‘Addicted to the Sea’ will take place on May 9, at 18.00 hours, with free access until full capacity is reached.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host an exhibition of the Ukrainian painter Ulyana Korol from next May 9, at 18.00 hours.
Inspired by her travels and her passion for nature, photography has left its mark on Ulyana’s art. She applies macro capture to her water paintings, paying attention to observing the reflection of light on water.
The exhibition, entitled ‘Addicted to the Sea’, is composed of a total of 23 large-format works with mostly seascapes and floral landscapes made with the technique of oil painting on canvas with palette knife. Particularly fascinating are his large peonies that he already exhibited in the same space in the summer of 2021. It can be visited until May 22, Tuesday to Friday, from 09.00 to 20.00, and Saturdays from 09.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 20.00, with free access.
Ulyana Korol (Lviv, Ukraine-1980) is an experienced Ukrainian painter based in Spain, whose works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions internationally.
She descends from a family of doctors. From early childhood she showed creative abilities which her parents greatly encouraged. Art has always been an important part of his life. The desire to create was reflected in Ulyana’s first solo exhibition at the age of nine. However, after becoming a mother of three children, she had less time for painting. Later, as the children grew up, she often wondered, “Why don’t I increase the talent I have been given?”. Finally, as if an invisible hand was leading her back to the dream, Ulyana bought canvases, oil paints and began to paint with greater passion. This happened in the summer of 2014 and since then, the artist has been working hard in the creative field.
The main idea of her art is to transfer through her works the emotion of happiness, and also love for nature. The artist’s works can be found in numerous private collections in the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Asia.
