The activity aims to promote coexistence and active aging through sports, and will bring together nearly 2,000 people from 63 municipalities in the province in the six meetings to be held between the months of October and November.
The meetings began on October 23 in Campillos and continued on November 6 in Cuevas del Becerro, on November 7 in Algarrobo, on November 12 in Villanueva del Rosario, and on November 19 in Guaro, until concluding on November 26 in Casabermeja.
Between 8 and 15 municipalities will participate in each of the meetings. The participants, in groups of 20 people, rotate through a circuit of activities that includes games with rackets, baskets and balls, exercises with weights and balance, skill and coordination courses. After a break, there is a collective dance activity and strength exercises with elastic bands. The day ends with breathing control and relaxation exercises.
The participants in this program are people over 60 years of age registered in the municipal physical activity programs and, once a year, they can put into practice the knowledge acquired in the provincial meetings, leisure and coexistence days that also serve to promote social relations between neighbors from different municipalities in the province.
